The news report ignores that the main victims of false rape allegation are men, who once accused are often convicted and sent to prison. No one was interviewed to discuss that men often end up spending decades and even the remainder of their lives in prison due to false rape accusations made by women. No one reported that most of the men freed by the Innocence Project were victims of false rape accusations. The news report ignored the politically incorrect fact that this false rape allegation apparently stemmed from a quarrel between two female lovers. Instead, the report repeatedly cites grossly false statistics that false rape allegations are "extremely rare" and that "one in five people" has been sexually assaulted. Some studies have shown that false rape allegations are as high as 50%. And most of the people who responded to the survey would be very surprised to learn that their answers were construed to mean that they are "1 in 5 people in Maine" that were sexually assaulted. Men are victimized by false allegations, false prosecutions, false imprisonment, false media reports, and false statistics
